About Me
Dr. Bridget Duffy is an associate veterinarian at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates and part of our rotating small animal medicine and surgery intern class of 2024 – 2025. Native of Philadelphia, she attended Temple University for her undergraduate studies and later obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. Before attending veterinary school, she interned at the Philadelphia Zoo and worked at a busy small animal general and emergency practice in Roxborough, PA.
Dr. Duffy’s professional goals are to develop her skill in small animal emergency medicine and surgery. She has a particular interest in surgical emergencies and stabilization of endocrinopathies on an emergency basis, such as diabetic ketoacidosis.
She currently lives with her fiancé, their bichon/shih-tzu mix Stella and two sphynx cats, Milo and Lilly.
“I am motived by the veterinarian’s oath that I have taken to serve as a healer of animals and a provider of comfort for any pain or suffering without harm. I wish to contribute to the client experience as both a source of information regarding their pet’s treatment and well-being, whilst also serving as an empathetic ear for those who may be experiencing the worst day of their lives with their beloved family member.”
