About Me
Dr. Bridget Duffy is a proud Philadelphia native and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Psychology, from Temple University. She received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2024, and then joined the MVA family as a Rotating Intern (2024-2025), where she solidified her passion and decision to pursue surgery. Dr. Duffy joined Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists as a surgical intern (2025-2026), and then returned home to MVA for her surgical residency!
Even before veterinary school, Dr. Duffy has been inspired by the joys of working with animals and making a tangible difference in their health and well-being. She gained extensive hands-on experience working in a busy small animal general practice in Philadelphia, serving as a clinical research assistant at Penn Vet, and assisting at the Philadelphia Zoo. During veterinary school, she also worked as an assistant prosector in the Large Animal Diagnostic Services Laboratory, further broadening her clinical background. Professionally, Dr. Duffy has developed a strong interest in soft tissue surgery, trauma surgery, reconstructive procedures and wound management.
While she’s not in the hospital, Dr. Duffy enjoys swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking, running, and weightlifting. Since returning to the East Coast, she loves visiting local museums, parks, and the Jersey Shore. She and her fiancé especially love to explore unique spots such as arcades, amusement parks, and concerts. A fun fact about Dr. Duffy: she was once a competitive Irish dancer!
