
About Me
Dr. Daniella Vansteenkiste is a board-certified veterinary neurologist with a strong international background. Originally from Europe, she earned her veterinary degree from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2014. She then completed a small animal rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey, followed by a research fellowship at the University of Missouri, where she focused on storage diseases and Degenerative Myelopathy.
Dr. Vansteenkiste went on to complete a residency in Neurology and Neurosurgery at The Ohio State University, where she also earned a master’s degree. Her research on Wobbler Syndrome earned her the Excellence in Research Award, and she has additionally obtained a Neurosurgery Certificate.
She is passionate about all aspects of veterinary neurology, with a strong interest in neurosurgery, inflammatory brain disease, and intervertebral disc disease. Outside the clinic, Daniella enjoys spending time with her husband, her beloved dachshund Victor, and her cat Marty. A lifelong equestrian, she actively competes in the jumpers with her two mares. When not at work or at the barn, Daniella enjoys traveling and baking sourdough bread.
