About Me
Dr. Brian Thomsen is originally from Ontario, Canada. He earned a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Guelph before completing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2019. Following veterinary school, Dr. Thomsen completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, a surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas, and a Surgical Oncology internship at VCA West Coast in Fountain Valley, California. He then moved to Pennsylvania to complete his residency in small animal surgery and ultimately chose to make the state his permanent home.
Dr. Thomsen’s practice encompasses a broad range of soft tissue and orthopedic procedures. His professional interests include surgical oncology, reconstructive skin and soft tissue surgery, urogenital surgery, and fracture repair. He is committed to providing compassionate, individualized care while working closely with pet owners and referring veterinarians to achieve the best possible outcomes. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Thomsen enjoys playing guitar, cycling, woodworking, and spending time with his two cats.
