What makes MVA a great place to work?

It isn’t just a job to the people who work there. It is a passion and a calling. Everyone is there to provide the highest quality of care to both clients and patients.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at MVA saving lives?

My absolute favorite way to spend my time when I am not at MVA saving lives, is running the rescue I recently founded. I also enjoy spending time with my husband and our fur babies, hiking. I enjoy doing agility training with my JRT, boxing, playing soccer and doing really anything outdoors.

Kristen M., Surgical Oncology Nurse

What makes MVA a great place to work?

I came to Metropolitan to further my career and confirm that a specialty practice is where I was meant to be. As the months went on, I realized that this wasn’t just a job, it’s my happy place. I work alongside the most amazing technicians and doctors! My education is constant here and I love it. I never realized how important it was for me to work in an environment where I can be true to myself as well as do what I love. I get to do both every day, all day. I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of this amazing team. As a Surgical Oncology nurse, it’s extremely rewarding to see my patients walk through the door even just a week after surgery and see how amazing they are doing! They are truly what keep me going.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at MVA saving lives?

I spend most of my time with my family or friends. Trying out new restaurants a few times a month has become quite a hobby for me! During the warmer months my dogs and I hike as often as we can. I’m an avid TV show binge watcher during the winter months. I also enjoy volunteering my time for community benefits, and not just for animals!

What is something that people might not know about you?

I love sports! I am a huge Eagles fan and play in a fantasy league every year.
