I know this is a bit late but I wanted to reach out about our experience. We had to put our little Chloe to sleep on 3/15/25. We had brought her in 2 weeks prior because she was acting strange and lost weight/not eating or drinking. She was sent back home and unfortunately we had to bring her back. We had Chloe since she was about 4 months old, along with her biological brother. They turned 16 in January ’25. Chloe was the most sweet, quirky, funny, playful, loving little girl who brought us so much love and laughs over 16 years. Chloe was a huge part of our lives and family. She definitely marched to the beat of her own drum and followed her brother Romeo everywhere since the day we brought them home. No pet parent wants to make the decision to euthanize their baby but that was our only option for her to be comfortable. Dr. Urbina was beyond amazing. He was gentle and kind, giving us as much time as we wanted with Chloe and he explained everything before he did anything. He was so sweet with her when administering the medicine and we could not have asked for a better experience in what is a heart wrenching experience. He made us feel comfortable with the decision to put her to sleep and could not have been more kind. Overall, our experience with him was outstanding and I just wanted to recognize him even though this is months later. Fortunately, her brother Romeo is still with us, but when his time comes we will be back at Metro for the same experience. The calming room is a great addition to the office and even though Chloe was not interested in eating, the M&Ms was a great touch for a dogs last moments for that forbidden treat. It is hard that vets don’t always get to see our pets when they are young and happy, and only see them when they are in the process of dying. Again, Dr. Urbina could not have been more gentle, kind and patient with us and her, and made Chloe’s last hours on Earth as calm and comfortable as they could be.
