Ophthalmologist, Dr. Chloe Spertus treated our shitzu dog Happy for a corneal carcinoma, which involved surgery to remove the cancerous mass. We can’t praise Dr. Spertus and her team enough for their care, attentiveness, and thoroughness. From the first diagnostic appointment to our rechecks after Happy’s successful surgery, Dr. Spertus and her team showed the highest level of professionalism and expertise. Dr. Spertus gets especially high marks for her bedside manner. She has a comforting manner that put Happy at ease — and also Happy’s mom and dad! Happy has more than one medical condition, and we appreciated that Dr. Spertus coordinated with another specialist regarding Happy’s ongoing treatment.
I must also mention the professionalism and helpfulness of all the staff at Metropolitan Vets. Everyone — from the receptionists that patiently assisted me on telephone calls to Dr. Spertus’ technical assistants — was courteous, responsive and genuinely caring.
