Corinne Durand, DVM
Dr. Corinne Durand graduated from Cornell University in 2004 with a degree in Biology – Animal Physiology. She went on to pursue her veterinary degree at St. George’s University, and completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island. With a passion for dentistry and oral surgery, she began her residency program in Veterinary Dentistry at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island in 2011, and completed that residency in 2015. Dr. Durand joined Metropolitan Veterinary Associates in August 2015.
Neurology
Melissa Logan, PhD, DVM, DACVIM (Neurology)
Dr. Melissa Logan is a board-certified neurologist and neurosurgeon who will be joining Metropolitan in August 2015. She previously practiced for four years at a specialty hospital in NJ. Dr. Logan graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She remained at Purdue to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery, as well as her neurology residency. Prior to her veterinary studies, she earned a Ph.D. in neurophysiology at Purdue, where she studied the mechanisms and treatment of acute spinal cord injury.
Dr. Logan will be seeing medical neurology cases, as well as performing neurosurgery. Her clinical interests include nerve and muscle disorders, spinal cord injury and epilepsy.
Surgery
Rebecca Wolf, VMD, DACVS-SA
Dr. Wolf graduated in 2006 from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine. She completed a rotating internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in New Jersey, followed by a surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Surgery in Houston, Texas. Dr. Wolf returned to Garden State Veterinary Specialists for her surgical residency, which she completed in 2011, and was practicing at a Specialty hospital in Chicago, IL until she joined Metropolitan in October 2015. She is a small animal diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and is proficient in soft tissue, orthopedic, and select neurologic surgeries.
MVA 5K
Every year Metropolitan Veterinary Associates organizes a 5K run/walk (leashed participants are encouraged to join) with all proceeds benefiting local non-profit animal rescue organizations. To learn more about the MVA5K click here.
