
About Me
Dr. Jamie Hart was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. Dr. Hart received a Bachelor’s degree from Clark University before completing a Master’s degree in Marine Biology at Nova Southeastern University. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Hart completed a rotating internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C., followed by a surgery internship at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, MA. She went on to pursue a surgical oncology internship at VCA West Coast Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital in Fountain Valley, CA.
Coming back across the country one more time, Dr. Hart is excited to join the MVA family on the East coast as a surgery resident in July 2026. Her professional interests include surgical oncology and advanced soft tissue reconstruction.
Outside of the hospital, she enjoys hiking with her partner and dog Calliope, finding new restaurants, thrift shopping, or curling up with her cats Cousteau and Sylvia Earle on the couch for a cat nap.
