About Me
Dr. Joyce Chi was born in Buffalo, NY, and raised in Taiwan. She graduated from the National Taiwan University, school of veterinary medicine, in 2009. After graduation, she worked as a general practitioner in a small animal veterinary clinic for 4 years. She then moved back to the states in 2015 and successfully completed a small animal rotating internship at Pieper Memorial Hospital in 2019. After the internship, she worked at an emergency veterinary hospital, as a general practitioner and also as a relief veterinarian before joining Hickory Primary Care in 2026.
Dr. Chi has a special interest in preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and feline medicine. She is fear free certified and when not working enjoys reading and spending time with her cats (Xavier and Luca) and shepherd mix (Sunny).
