Veterinary Student Externships
Our externship programs provide students with a hands-on learning experience in the field of veterinary medicine. The externship is designed for students to work alongside experienced professionals, providing exposure to real-world applications paralleling their classroom training.
Externship Details
Our Externships are Offered to DVM Students.
There are two types:
- University-Sponsored Externship
- Personal Externships (Must Carry PLIT Coverage)
Veterinary Technician Externships
We work with the local Veterinary Technician Colleges during their students’ clinical externship. This provides veterinary technician students with the experience of working in a real emergency and specialty hospital during their final semester of college. This experience and extensive training that the student receives while with us can help prepare them for a successful career in veterinary medicine. Students will rotate through our various specialty departments. Through working with Veterinary Technician Colleges, we have come to understand the importance of mentoring students and helping train the next generation of veterinary technicians, and are excited to share our passion in the field with them!
