About Me
Dr. Kailey Werkheiser is an associate veterinarian at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates and part of our rotating small animal medicine and surgery intern class of 2024 – 2025. She grew up in Hershey, Pennsylvania. In 2020, she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Spanish Studies from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania. She then went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, where she graduated in 2024 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. During veterinary school, Dr. Werkheiser spent time in Koh Tao, Thailand assisting with coral reef conservation and research.
Dr. Werkheiser’s professional interests include emergency medicine, rehabilitation, and sports and performance medicine.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, scuba diving, golfing, and exploring Philadelphia.
