About Me
Dr. Christina Murphy grew up in Bryn Mawr, PA. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Ithaca College in Business Administration. She then went on to work in Advertising and Marketing in NYC. Always having a passion for medicine and animals, she decided to change careers and pursue veterinary medicine. She completed a postbaccalaureate program at Villanova University fulfilling the science prerequisite courses, followed by veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining her degree in 2019. She then completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston, followed by a surgical internship at Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center in Dallas, TX. Dr. Murphy returned to the east coast and joined MVA as a surgery resident in July 2021.
Professional interests include fracture repairs and soft tissue emergency surgeries. Dr Murphy spends her free time with family and friends trying out new restaurants and hanging out with her ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Emma.
