Veterinary Behavior Services and Fees

BEHAVIOR PROBLEM APPOINTMENTS

Basic Evaluation:

$150.00

45-60 minutes

Brief evaluation of the problem, prognosis, estimate for treatment, and initial instructions aimed primarily at keeping pets and people who interact with them safe. Includes two follow-up e-mails or phone conversations. These appointments are best for people who want more information about their pet's problem, but are unsure whether they wish to commit to a detailed treatment plan. These appointments are also appropriate for 'simple' problems such simple housesoiling, preparing for the addition of a new child or pet to the home, or difficulty administering medications.

Complete Evaluation:

$350.00

2-2.5 hrs

Full evaluation of the problem, prognosis, detailed written treatment guidelines for the first step in treatment of the problem, including an estimate for further in-clinic follow-up and three months of follow-up via e-mail and phone. These appointments are best for serious behavior problems which will require ongoing support.

Recheck Appointment:

$100.00/hour

1-1.5 hrs

Recheck follow-up appointment within 1 month of previous appointment.

Recheck Appointment:

$150.00/hour

1-1.5 hrs

Recheck follow-up appointment more than 1 month but less than 6 months from previous appointment. Recheck appointments more than 6 months from the previous appointment may incur additional fees.

Extended Remote Follow Up:

$75.00

3 months

Continuation of e-mail/phone follow-up after Complete Evaluations.

Complete Care:

$1,000.00

1 year of services

Full evaluation of the problem, prognosis, detailed treatment guidelines, and regular follow-up appointments as needed (at no additional cost). These appointments are best for people who want extended services, for multiple problems or a serious problem which will require ongoing appointments.

Annual Behavioral Health Exam

75.00

30 minutes

Yearly behavioral health exam/evaluation; behavior problem prevention and early intervention program. VERY important for puppies and young dogs. Also helpful for newly adopted animals

House Calls:

Price available on request

Some behavior problems are best addressed in the animal's home. Prices vary based on travel time from MVA.
