Metropolitan Veterinary Associates’ Paws of Promise Foundation helps its first pet.

A Good Samaritan came in with a stray kitten, approximately 3-4 months old, who appeared to have been hit by a car or suffered other serious trauma. “Kitten” had a fracture to his left back leg and pneumothorax (air buildup in the space between the lung and chest wall). He would need extensive surgery to have a chance of recovery.
The Paws of Promise Foundation was created to help pets in this type of situation. So he went through the surgery he needed; and so far so good. And not surprisingly, he has already found a forever home in the process.
