Dr. Lydia Gentry attended the University of Chicago where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Ecology and Evolution in 2007. After Chicago she proceeded on to the University of Idaho for one year of PhD study in Amphibian disease, before deciding to attend veterinary school. Dr. Gentry received her veterinary degree from Washington State University in 2014. She completed a rotating Medicine and Surgery Internship at Oklahoma State University from 2014-2015, then proceeded to a specialty Emergency and Critical Care Internship at the University of Pennsylvania from 2015-2016. Upon completion, she joined Metropolitan Veterinary Associates. Her special interests include trauma and respiratory disease.
Having grown up in State College, Pennsylvania, Dr. Gentry is excited to be back in her home state. In her spare time she enjoys running, camping, and exploring Philadelphia with her husband and dog
